The BUXTED Inn
The Buxted Inn is a modern British restaurant and bar with 8 en-suite letting rooms. It is situated in the heart of the picturesque East Sussex countryside, in the village of Buxted near Uckfield. Ideally located just a 1-minute walk from the train station, it is very easy to get to from the surrounding towns of Uckfield and Crowborough and just an hour from London on the train.
Rooms
The Buxted Inn has 8 stylish modern en-suite bedrooms, all either double or twin. The rooms are equipped with high pressure digital showers, king sized beds, comfy anti-allergy bedding, a desk, an in room safe and complimentary teas, coffee and bottled water. Whether you are looking for a weekend country escape, travelling on business or visiting one of the many attractions and venues in the county The Buxted Inn is an ideal place to base yourself.
Exquisite Dining Experience
Our kitchen produces a regular changing seasonal British menu focusing on the great local produce the area has to offer. We aim wherever possible to source all our produce from within 25 miles of the restaurant; this not only means we are getting them as fresh as possible but it also helps us look after our environment. We work with 6 local farms and the kitchen team and owner are often found picking the best of the crops in the surrounding fields. Whether it is a light lunch for 2 or an extravagant dinner celebration, we are confident you will not be disappointed when you dine with us.
Wine Selection
At The Buxted Inn our drinks are as important as the food. We have carefully compiled an ever-changing wine list of over 100 different bottles, from the usual classics to the grape varieties you have never heard of. Starting at £18 per bottle and rising to over £200 there really is something for every palate and budget. As well as our permanent wines by the glass we always have at least one ‘special’ fine wine available by the glass using our Coravin system. If you would like any of our fine wines or ports decanted before you arrive please do give us a call or mention it when booking.
We also serve a variety of beers from local breweries as well as internationally recognised names.
We host monthly wine tastings on the last Thursday of each month, focusing on a particular region or grape variety. Tickets are £25 per person, which includes the tutored tasting of 6 wines along with a cheese board. Booking is recommended.
