All of our dishes are freshly made on premises, our fish and meat are delivered fresh each day and never frozen. Where possible we use local suppliers, which include a few farms in the village, the brewery in the neighbouring village, cider from the orchards you can see across the fields and even wine from a Sussex vineyard.
We strongly believe that fresh local produce make for a much tastier dining experience, as well as looking after our planet!
Our restaurant is relatively small, so we would recommend booking in advance.

David Burtenshaw - GM
David's infectious and passionate personality combined with military like eye for detail keeps the front of house running effortlessly. Originally from Ireland, he is now very much a local Sussex man, having settled here over 20 years ago. He and his team are here to make your time with us as enjoyable as possible!
David Kirby - Executive Chef
Our kitchen team are ably led by Executive Chef, David Kirby. David spent 10 years working in high end London kitchens before moving out to the countryside to follow his passion for locally sourced British ingredients, gaining 2 rosettes in the process. He has recently joined us and along with his team continues to produce outstanding modern British cuisine.
